So when Aidu, a brainchild of restaurateur Aman Chainani and wife Shreya Anand, stepped into the forever burgeoning dining scene of Hyderabad earlier this year, all eyes were on it-and for all the right reasons. Literally translating to 'five' in Telugu, Aidu promises an unforgettable culinary journey experienced through five senses, five fingers, and the five South Indian states-from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, to Karnataka, and Kerala. While the menu lists modern takes on South Indian classics done to perfection, the well-stocked bar whips up gorgeous, flavourful drinks that I surely intend to keep going back for.
