India, April 25 -- In a move to position India as a top destination for foreign tourists beyond Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), the Uttarakhand government is pushing for Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport to achieve international status. The initiative involves inviting airlines to submit proposals (RFPs) for operating direct flights between Dehradun and Kathmandu, Nepal, to enhance international air traffic in India.
