CHANDIGARH, Jan. 9 -- SHIROMANI Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal today asked Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to immediately direct the Finance Department not to implement its decision to stop the 13th salary of Punjab Police personnel.
Expressing solidarity with Punjab Police personnel, the SAD President said, "We will fight this move tooth and nail and even if the Congress government succeeds in implementing this antipeople step we will reverse it immediately after formation of an SADBJP government in the state".
Badal said the law and order situation had already deteriorated in the state with Congress ministers and legislators patronising gangsters and stopping the state police from functioning professionally.
