Jammu, April 14 -- In IPL Cricket, Royal Challengers Bangalore recorded their first victory of the season when they defeated Kings Eleven Punjab by eight wickets at Mohali last night.

Put in to bat, Punjab posted 173 for 4, courtesy West Indian opener Chris Gayle's 64-ball 99 not out comprising 10 fours and 5 sixes.

In reply, Bangalore overhauled the target with 4 balls to spare. Skipper Virat Kohli top scored with 67.

South African AB de Villiers, who made an unbeaten 59, was named man of the match as he ably supported Kohli and then shared 46 runs with Aussie Marcus Stoinis to help the visitors chase down the target.
