Nigeria, Dec. 6 -- The Yankari Express Corporation in Bauchi State has rejected a viral social media video claiming that one of its vehicles was used to transport bandits.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, the General Manager, Engr. Babaji Yunusa, said the allegations were false, misleading and did not reflect what actually happened.
The viral video alleged that a Yankari Express vehicle carrying a passenger dressed in charm-covered clothing was intercepted in Kano for transporting bandits and smuggling weapons.
Yunusa explained that the situation was completely misrepresented. The vehicle was on a Sokoto-Kano route when some passengers became suspicious of one traveler who wore protective charms.
