Nigeria, April 14 -- The Christian faithful have been encouraged to always learn Jesus Christ's humble disposition despite his power and dominion as the Son of God.

On Sunday, the charge resonated across various Christian denominations in Awka, Anambra State Capital, as the Palm Sunday was marked globally across Christendom.

Christians across Awka and its environs trooped into the streets to commemorate Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, an event celebrated worldwide as Palm Sunday.

The celebration began with loud chants of "Hosanna in the Highest" echoing through churches and streets as worshippers carried palm fronds to symbolize the occasion.

Palm Sunday will usher in the Holy Week, leading to Good Friday and Easter.
