Nigeria, Nov. 15 -- Governors Seyi Makinde and Umaru Fintiri led more than 3,000 delegates from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to elect the party's new national leaders during the Elective National Convention held on Saturday at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan. Other top party figures present included Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal, the Deputy Governor of Osun State, the party's acting chairman Umar Damagum, and the leader of the PDP caucus in the House of Representatives, Fred Agbedi.

At the convention, the party's new leadership was presented with various flags, including the PDP flag and the Nigerian national flag.
