Nigeria, Dec. 17 -- Members of the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) have reportedly executed eight people accused of spying for the Nigerian government in Borno State.
The development was disclosed on Tuesday by security analyst Brant Philip in a post on (formerly Twitter).
According to him, those killed included members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and one police officer.
Philip said the suspects were arrested by ISWAP fighters from their homes across different communities in Borno State, while the police officer was reportedly captured along the Gubio-Damasak road.
Although the arrests occurred at different times and locations, the eight men were allegedly executed on the same day.
