Nigeria, Nov. 16 -- Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested one Musa Abubakar, a suspected major arms dealer linked to armed groups operating in Plateau State and other parts of northern Nigeria. His arrest on November 12, 2025, followed precise intelligence gathered by the agency.
According to a DSS source, Abubakar confessed to manufacturing and supplying high caliber weapons and ammunition to armed groups responsible for violent attacks in Plateau State and other northern regions.
His arrest was the outcome of credible intelligence that led to a targeted raid on his illegal arms-manufacturing workshop in the Mista Ali area of Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State.
