Nigeria, Jan. 19 -- Dangote Group has signed a contract valued at over 350 million dollars with India's Engineers India Limited to oversee a major expansion of its Lekki based refinery.

Engineers India Limited disclosed that it will act as project management consultant as well as engineering, procurement and construction management consultant for the upgrade, a role it previously played during the delivery of the existing 650000 barrels per day facility commissioned in 2024.



The new phase will add a second processing line, lifting total capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day and deepening the production of Euro VI compliant fuels. The expansion also targets a sharp increase in petrochemical output, with plans to raise polypropylene...
