Nigeria, Dec. 6 -- The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced that it will launch a nationwide crackdown on all unregistered Point of Sale (PoS) operators starting January 1, 2026. In a statement released on Saturday, the Commission warned that every PoS operator must be properly registered with the CAC as required by the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020 and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Agent Banking Regulations.
