India, Jan. 14 -- Google cofounder Sergey Brin has climbed to become the world's third richest individual following a fresh rally in Alphabet shares that pushed the tech giant's valuation to the $4 trillion mark.
The surge sees Brin move ahead of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Oracle chairman Larry Ellison in the global wealth rankings.
Alphabet's stock touched a new record this week, extending a strong run that has seen the shares gain more than 60 percent over the past year.
