Nigeria, Oct. 29 -- The trending incident involving Federal Lawmaker Alex Ikwecheghi, allegedly assaulting an Uber driver, highlights a troubling abuse of power and lack of respect for basic human dignity, rights group, Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre, RULAAC has said.

On Sunday, the video trended, where the lawmaker insulted the driver, boasting that he could make him disappear.

The lawmaker representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly had claimed the driver disrespected him by not bringing his delivery into his house and refused to pay.
