Nigeria, Nov. 26 -- The need for proper profiling of members of the local vigilante outfits operating in Anambra State for effective community policing has been stressed.

The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, made the call following the recent arrest of an armed man who claimed to be a member of the vigilante operatives.

The suspect, who hails from the Ikono Area of Akwa Ibom State, was nabbed with a pump action rifle around the Nkwelle-Ezunaka area of Anambra State.

Hewasreportedlyarrested by police operatives attached to 3-3 Police Divisional Headquarters.
