Dhaka, May 23 -- A Barguna court on Thursday sent former deputy minister Dhirendra Debnath Shambhu to jail.Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Md Moniruzzaman gave the order as former lawmaker Shambhu was produced before the court in case.The case was filed on April 30 this year against 158 AL leaders including Shambhu on charge of damaging and setting fire on district BNP office on March 17 in 2023.The lawyers of Shambhu prayed for his bail saying he was five-time parliament member.
