Dhaka, Nov. 28 -- The 53rd International Emmy Awards were held in New York, where popular Indian actor Diljit Dosanjh and director Imtiaz Ali's much-talked-about film 'Amar Singh Chamkila' raised expectations by receiving nominations in two categories. However, the artiste had to return empty-handed at Monday night's event.

The film 'Amar Singh Chamkila' was nominated in the 'Best Television Movie/Mini-Series' category.

Despite not winning any awards, Diljit and Imtiaz made a splash on the red carpet at the International Emmy Awards. The actor-singer bowed in his familiar pose with folded hands.
