Police have arrested the secretary of Pabna district Awami League and former vice chairman of the Upazila Parishad Mahzabin Shirin Pia (48) on charges of attacking the anti-discriminatory student movement in Ishwardi. She was arrested from Ishwardi Municipal area on Thursday (13 March) morning. She is the daughter of the late former land minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif.Officer-in-charge of Ishwardi Police Station (OC) Shahidul Islam Shahid said that a case was filed with the police station on August 19 in connection with the attack on the anti-discrimination movement in Ishwardi.
