Appeal hearing on custody of 2 Japanese daughters Feb 16
Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- Bangladesh-born US citizen Imran Sharif has filed an appeal petition challenging the family court verdict that dismissed the case filed by him seeking custody of his children.
Judge of the District and Sessions Judge's Court in Dhaka, AHM Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, on Thursday fixed February 16 to decide whether it would admit the appeal or not.
Earlier on January 29, Judge of the Family Court and also the Second Assistant Judge in Dhaka, Durdana Rahman, gave the custody of the children, Nakano Jasmine Malika (11) and Nakano Laila Lina (9), to their mother Eriko Nakano, who is a Japanese citizen.
