Bangladesh, Feb. 7 -- Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed (Bir Bikrom), BNP parliamentary candidate for Bhola-3 and a member of the party's Standing Committee, said that in July-August 2024, during a popular uprising, police, RAB, and other forces brutally killed around 1,500 people. He added that people from Lalmohan were also killed on the streets of Dhaka. Among them were 12 individuals from Lalmohan, none of whom were students; all were workers, rickshaw pullers, van drivers, and professionals from various occupations.
