Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday received moderate to heavy rainfall bringing much sought relief from the scorching heat and humid weather conditions, even as the mercury in this capital city settled at 34.6 degree Celsius, 5.1 notches above normal.

According to theMeteorological Department (MeT)officials, the maximum temperature on Tuesday across the Valley was 4 degree to 5 degree above normal.

Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 34.6 degree Celsius, 5.1 notches above normal while humidity was 79 this morning at 8:30 and 46 at 5:30pm. The minimum temperature was 24.6 degrees, 5.9 notches above normal.
