Srinagar, March 14 -- According to the data of the Agriculture Production Department (Horticulture), Baramulla district emerged as the largest contributor, with 'Sopore Mandi' alone exporting 184.52 thousand MTs of fruits, accounting for Rs 992 crore. Another 'Kanispora Mandi' in Baramulla district exported 0.96 thousand MTs, with a turnover of Rs 3.51 crore.
Shopian followed as the second-largest exporter, shipping 125.73 thousand MTs of fruits through 'Aglar Mandi,' generating a revenue of Rs 657.53 crore.
Srinagar's 'Parimpora Mandi' also played a significant role, exporting 40.45 thousand MTs, with a turnover of Rs 258.30 crore.
