Srinagar, March 14 -- The weather is likely to remain dry from March 17 to March 24.

Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir valley were lashed by widespread intermittent rains leading to drop in the temperature and disrupting the normal activities. The precipitation continued at many places across the valley on Friday.

Some higher reaches in Kashmir valley including the ski resort of Gulmarg received light snowfall during the past 24 hours.Giving parameters of rainfall, the MeT office said that the highest precipitation of 16.4mm of rainfall was recorded at the ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir's Baramulla district. Gulmarg also received 6.0 cm of snowfall during the past 24 hours.
