Dhaka, March 24 -- Bangladesh stalwart Tamim Iqbal has been placed on life support after suffering a massive heart attack. Despite efforts to transport him to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka by helicopter, his critical condition made it impossible. However, doctors have now reported some improvement in his condition.

Tamim's heart showed a complete 100 per cent blockage, and a stent has been placed in the affected artery. Doctors have observed that if the procedure is successful, further steps will be taken. For now, his breathing is being supported by medical equipment.
