Dhaka, March 13 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Wednesday urged all concerned to refrain from digging out roads for utility purposes without its prior permission during the month of Ramadan to reduce the plights of city dwellers.
"If any company/organisation creates interruption to vehicular movement in the capital by breaching the conditions of roads digging then lawful measures will be taken against the responsible organisation and their license will be cancelled," said the DMP in a mass circular.
DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali signed the document.
The mass circular also urged the concerned organisation/contractors to carry out roads repairing works including digging during the night but not in day time.
