Dhaka, March 3 -- The Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Monday told the visiting EU Commissioner Hadja Lahbib that the interim government is committed to holding a free and fair election, and voting will likely be held by December this year.

The EU commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management called on Bangladesh Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the state guest house Jamuna in Dhaka, said a spokesperson of the CA office.

During the hour-long meeting, they also discussed energy connectivity, including hydroelectricity import opportunities from Nepal, flood management, including in the region, climate change, and the Interim government's reform initiatives.
