Dhaka, Feb. 2 -- At least 158 political activists were killed and 7,082 others injured in 600 incidents of political violence across the country over 17 months, according to a study by Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB).
The findings were disclosed on Monday at a press conference at TIB's office in Dhaka during the release of a research report titled "Post-Authoritarian Transition: Justice, State Reforms and Elections-Expectations and Outcomes." TIB Executive Director Dr Iftekharuzzaman was present at the event.
