Dhaka, Sept. 10 -- Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir left Dhaka for Singapore on Wednesday to undergo his wife Rahat Ara Begum's treatment.

He, along with his wife, departed from Dhaka at 8:10 am by a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan, reports BSS.

He said the medical appointments in Singapore had been arranged earlier, and accordingly, the BNP secretary general, along with his wife, went there for her treatment.

However, he did not say how long they would stay in Singapore.
