Dhaka, March 16 -- The government may face a large shortfall amounting to Tk 820 billion in its revenue collection by the end of the current fiscal year, FY2023-24, due to several persistent macroeconomic challenges, said the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) on Saturday.

Executive Director of the CPD Dr Fahmida Khatun said the government is going to place the national budget at a time when the macro-economy is in negative territory.
