Dhaka, March 29 -- The people of Chattogram are eagerly waiting for 'Chand Raat' (the last night of Ramadan, which is observed marking the eve of Eid-al-Fitr) to go on a shopping binge for the upcoming festival.
Following a tradition, a fairly large number of people wait to buy their Eid dresses on this very night-- Chand Raat. Accordingly, businessmen in the markets of the port city of Chattogram also expect a sale boom on the eve of the festival.
The markets of port city will remain open whole day and night from March 26 as Eid shopping has already gained momentum.
