Dhaka, Nov. 24 -- Commerce adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin on Sunday said that China is a big priority of Bangladesh in creating scope for trade cooperation.

"In this regard, Bangladesh is keen to work with China over Free Trade Agreement (FTA)," he added.

The commerce adviser said this when Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen met him at his ministry office at the secretariat on Sunday, BSS reports citing a commerce ministry press release.

He said China has already announced to provide Bangladesh with cent percent duty-free market access from this December while Bangladesh is very keen to seize this opportunity.
