Dhaka, Dec. 1 -- A day after a hospital, JN Ray hospital, in Kolkata's Manicktala area said it would not treat patients from Bangladesh, a multi-specialty healthcare facility in Agartala followed suit on Saturday.
Citing the rising tensions over alleged anti-India sentiments and atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, Agartala's ILS Hospitals announced it will no longer treat Bangladeshi patients.
"As an Indian, we respect and support the emotions of people who came today. With this thought, we want to iterate that Bangladeshi people have insulted us, have mistreated our people and we shall not provide any service to them.," an executive of the hospital told Indian media.
