Dhaka, Jan. 9 -- Mr A. K. Azad was unanimously reelected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC in its 389th Board meeting held on 8th January 2025.

In the same meeting, Mr. Mohammed Younus and Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed were reelected as Vice-Chairmen respectively of the Board of Directors of the bank, according to a media release.

The reelected chairman A. K. Azad is a prominent industrialist and successful businessman of the country who was born in 1959 in a noble Muslim family of Faridpur district. Mr Azad is the Managing Director of Ha-Meem Group of Companies. He is the former president of FBCCI.
