Tanzania, Feb. 27 -- Dar es Salaam. Tanzania has risen two places in the latest release of the FIFA World Rankings, now occupying the 119th position garnering 1,160.98 points.

This climb is attributed to the Taifa Stars' recent performance in the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, where Tanzania finished fourth in Group F, collecting two points.

Tanzania played three matches in the Afcon finals, losing 3-0 against Morocco, recording a 1-1 draw against Zambia, and securing a goalless draw against DR Congo.

The matches were the only ones considered between the last ranking in January and the current one.
