Farmers' protest: Police use tear gas, water cannons as farmers break barricades to march towards Delhi against Centre's farm laws
India, Nov. 26 -- With thousands of protesting farmers from Punjab assembling at the border of Haryana for their march towards Delhi on Thursday morning, the police stepped up security and put barricades at several places.
Haryana Police used water cannons and tear gas in order to stop farmers proceeding towards Delhi for their 'Delhi Chalo' march against Centre's new farm laws.
The group of farmers allegedly tried to jump police barricades to enter Haryana. They even threw police barricades off the bridge into the Ghaggar river.
Several protestors pelted stones at the Shambhu border (Punjab-Haryana border).
Security personnel used fire tear gas shells to disperse a crowd of farmers gathered at the Shambhu border.
