
New Delhi, June 10 -- Elevators and escalator manufacturer Schindler India has appointed Binita Prasad as the new Head of IT & Digital to drive its digital growth. With nearly three decades of experience in manufacturing and technology, Prasad brings expertise in IT strategy, Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) to the role.
In her new position, she will lead Schindler India's efforts to integrate advanced digital tools aimed at enhancing innovation, customer experience, and operational excellence.
Before joining Schindler, Binita held several senior technology leadership roles. At Saint-Gobain (Grindwell Norton), she led digital initiatives that significantly improved efficiency and customer engagement. Her previous roles include Head of IT at Sany Heavy Industry India, Principal Delivery Manager at Bristlecone (a Mahindra Group company), and Senior Manager - IT at JCB India.
She is known for her ability to manage complex IT ecosystems and drive organisational change through technology. At Schindler, she plans to blend technological innovation with cultural transformation.
Prasad holds a Master's degree in Computer Applications and is a graduate of Delhi University. She has completed online training in AI/ML from IIT Kanpur and holds an Executive Development certification from XLRI.
In January, Schindler announced the appointment of Kshitij Bhusari as Head HR CRD/GF for India and Global HR CTO. In this expanded leadership role, Bhusari is responsible for driving the company's strategy to build a future-ready workforce. His key focus areas include shaping HR policies for India and leading global initiatives that foster leadership growth and organisational development.
Bhusari has been a part of Schindler for over a decade, holding several leadership positions such as Vice President - Human Resources and Head of Talent Development. During his time at the company, he has led efforts to boost employee engagement, streamline HR operations, and implement effective talent management frameworks.
