New Delhi, Dec. 9 -- Neo4j, a database company known for its graph-based data technology used in enterprise applications, has released Neo4j Fleet Manager, a control plane for managing graph databases across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.

Neo4j's software is used by organizations to store and analyze connected data, often for use cases such as analytics, data integration, and artificial intelligence systems. As enterprises expand these use cases, Neo4j deployments are increasingly spread across public cloud platforms, private data centers, and local machines, sometimes owned by different teams within the same organization.

Fleet Manager addresses operational challenges that arise from this distribution. Large organizations may struggle to track where graph databases are running, how they are configured, and whether they meet internal security and compliance requirements. These issues are more visible as companies move away from a cloud-only approach toward mixed infrastructure strategies.

The new tool provides a centralized view of Neo4j databases regardless of where they are deployed. This includes cloud-based AuraDB services, self-managed Enterprise Edition databases, and local deployments such as Community Edition and Neo4j Desktop. It also supports Neo4j Infinigraph, a distributed architecture designed to run large graph workloads across multiple systems.

Community Edition, which is free and widely used for development and testing, is common in large enterprises. Over time, these deployments can grow without consistent oversight. Fleet Manager allows organizations to monitor these instances alongside other Neo4j deployments, making it easier to understand usage patterns and database locations.

Available through the Neo4j Aura Console, Fleet Manager focuses on centralized administration, system visibility, and standardized operations. It provides insight into database health, performance, and resource usage across environments, and supports guided upgrade processes to reduce manual intervention.

"We are currently piloting Neo4j Fleet Manager on two clusters and are seeing immediate value from having a single, centralized view of our clusters (Self-managed and Aura)," said Sachet Patil, CTO, WhatifMedia Group. "This visibility into performance metrics allows us to right-size our infrastructure and manage costs effectively."
