Srilanka, Dec. 7 -- The World Powerlifting Championships 2025, conducted by World Powerlifting Lanka (WPL) concluded successfully at the Vivanta Colombo, Airport Garden in Seeduwa. Some of the world's strongest athletes and a host of Sri Lankan competitors participated in this meet with the Russian powerlifters dominating this three-day event. Event medals were presented to all place getters in the Open and in Age Groups while the best lifters and the champion teams were awarded trophies.

The awards were presented under the patronage of Dr. Sahida Hettiarachchi, Chairperson, Serendib Green (Pvt) Limited, Secretary, S. P. Jayawardena, Director Rear Admiral Serasinghe and Event Director Michal Anoje.
