Mysore/Mysuru, Aug. 30 -- As part of the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyanchand (Aug. 29), the District Administration, in association with Zilla Panchayat, University of Mysore Physical Education Department and Mysuru District Amateur Cycling Association, celebrated National Sports Day at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad yesterday.

Speaking after inaugurating the event, N.R. MLA Tanveer Sait said students and youths should maintain their health by taking part in sporting activities, while also concentrating on their studies.
