Colombo, Sri Lanka, Nov. 4 -- Ministry of Defence and Urban Development issued the following news release:

Under the Public Day initiative, dedicated to addressing the welfare concerns of retired, injured, and fallen war heroes and their families, two more sessions were held on 3 November in Colombo and in Kegalle during the weekend.

The programmes, chaired by Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), continued the Ministry's ongoing efforts to provide direct assistance and solutions to the families of war heroes. The Deputy Minister personally met with attendees, listened to their issues, and instructed relevant officials to take prompt measures to resolve administrative and welfare-related concerns.
