Jakarta, Nov. 18 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with the United Kingdom's International Education Champion, Sir Steve Smith,at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. During the meeting, Dr. Kao expressed his appreciation for the UK's steadfast commitment to strengthening its partnership with ASEAN in advancing education and human capital development. Both sides exchanged views on the ongoing and future cooperation, particularly in the areas of education, science, and technology, and reaffirmed their commitment to aligning these efforts with the next Plan of Action (POA) in commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the ASEAN-UK Dialogue Partnership.
