Jakarta, Sept. 3 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Chair of the 18th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on the Environment (AMME), Minister of Plantation & Commodities and Acting Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Malaysia, in Langkawi, Malaysia. Dr. Kao congratulated Malaysia on its ASEAN Chairmanship this year and commended its leadership in advancing regional cooperation on environmental sustainability, climate action, and transboundary haze pollution, among others. Dr. Kao also reaffirmed the ASEAN Secretariat's readiness to continue its support for Malaysia to realise its endeavors.
