Jakarta, Oct. 15 -- Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered remarks at the Welcome Ceremony of the 13th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM) and the 14th Meeting of the Conference of Parties (COP) to the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER) and Related Meetings, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. In his remarks, SG Dr. Kao commended ASEAN's progress over the past two decades in strengthening disaster management. SG Dr. Kao also welcomed the launch of the AADMER Work Programme 2026-2030, which set strategic priorities for the next five years and provided a vital framework to further strengthen regional resilience.
