Hanoi, Vietnam, Jan. 27 -- According to data from the General Department of Customs, in the first half of January, Viet Nam's total import-export turnover reached approximately US$39.34 billion, up 14.64 percent compared with the same period last year. Of the figure, export turnover hit US$18.05 billion, a year-on-year increase of 11.1 percent.
Export growth concentrated in manufacturing and processing sector, especially high-tech industries linked to global supply chains.
The group of computers, electronic products and components recorded the strongest growth, rising by nearly US$930 million, equivalent to a 28.2 percent increase year on year.
