Hyderabad, Dec. 31 -- The Telangana government has reorganised the city's three police Commissionerates - Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda - into four new ones.

The new development came after the Telangana government merged 27 municipal urban bodiesinto the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area. Under this arrangement, Greater Hyderabad has expanded to include high-security and vital infrastructure like the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Chandanagar, Charminar, etc.

From now on, the city will have Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Future City and Malkajgiri Commissionerates.
