New Delhi, June 26 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of G-20 Summit in Osaka in Japan later this week, diplomatic sources said here on Tuesday.

The two leaders are expected to review the status of the bilateral ties and discuss the roadmap for the future of the strategic partnership, the sources said.

Modi and Macron will be in Osaka to attend the G-20 Summit on June 28-29.

This will be the first meeting between the two leaders since Modi took over as the Prime Minister for the second time on May 30.

Earlier, soon after Modi's re-election, Macron had called him up to congratulate him.
