With 72 new cases, Nepal's COVID-19 tally spikes to 675
KATHMANDU, May 25 -- As many as 72 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were detected on Monday morning, taking Nepal's COVID-19 national tally to 675.
According to the latest updates by the Ministry of Health and Population, three patients each in Nagarain Municipality-3 of Dhanusha, Shivraj Municipality-4, 5 and 6 of Kapilvastu and Tokha Municipality-3 and 6 and Budhanilkantha Municipality in Kathmandu districts were diagnosed with this disease.
Rautahat district alone has reported 27 new cases. Male patients from the district's Rajpur Farhadawa-2, 6 and 8 and Ishnath-2 tested positive for this virus, according to Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, joint spokesperson for the ministry.
