KATHMANDU, March 16 -- An unidentified group on Thursday torched a motorcycle belonging to Padam Bista, ward 4 chairman of Navadurga Rural Municipality in Dadeldhura.
The ward office had purchased the motorcycle just a few days ago.
Police informed Republica that the motorcycle (Se 7 Pa 3690) was torched at around midnight. It was parked on the front yard of Bista's house.
Although various districts were affected by Netra Bikram Chand's general shutdown on Thursday, the rural municipality was unaffected.
According to police there is no one in the ward associated with the Chand's party.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dambar Bahadur KC stated that police are searching for the perpetrators of the arson attack.
