KATHMANDU, Oct. 8 -- The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has raised the deposit limit for digital wallets operated by payment service providers, allowing up to 30 transactions per day. This increase primarily targets the festive seasons of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath, when transactions typically surge.
Previously, users were allowed to deposit money into their digital wallets up to 10 times per day. However, under the new provision, individuals can now make deposits up to 30 times daily.
This increased limit will be in effect from October 7 to October 17 during the Dashain and Tihar festivals and again from October 31 to November 7 for Chhath festival, according to the NRB.
