KATHMANDU, Oct. 29 -- Police have detained 33 activists of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) who reached Baluwatar, Kathmandu, to protest against the government. They were arrested after they breached prohibitory orders while protesting in Baluwatar.
Following the arrest of RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane for his alleged involvement in the misuse of cooperative funds, the agitating RSP decided to stage a demonstration in Baluwatar today. Leaders and activists gathered at Nepal House in Baluwatar for the protest. Police declared the Nepal House as a prohibited area.
