Nigerian govt denies claims of senators hijacking social investment programmes
Nigeria, Nov. 7 -- The National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) has debunked reports that some Nigerian senators were trying to hijack the budget of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Social Investments, Ismaeel Ahmed, spoke with journalists on Wednesday concerning the allegation.
There were reports recently in the Nigerian media that politicians wanted to hijack the NSIP programmes.
